Episode 1: Conner Part 2
At the last moment, Conner pulls Georgia away and the Doctor steps backwards. He holds up his hands to show Velox to stop. Velox halts, unsure why he is doing so.
“Wait! Wait, wait, wait! Wait wait wait-y wait wait. Love that word! Ha!” the Doctor said.
“Erm? Doctor? Focus…” Georgia prompted.
“Sorry. Yeah. You don’t want to kill us!” the Doctor shouts.
“And why’s that?” Velox asked.
“Umm, because we’re nice?” the Doctor said hopefully.
“My scanner says that you’re an alien!” Velox roared “some competition!”
Conner, sensing some trouble, pulled Georgia from the room. He ran back in but the Doctor was already running past him. The Doctor grabs his arm and hauls him out of his bedroom. Conner slams the door behind them, and they run along the upstairs corridor. Velox smashes through Conner’s door and uses his eight legs to lift himself to run around all four walls of the corridor.
“RUN!” Conner shouts as Georgia hurtles down the stairs.
The Doctor piles after, and Conner brings up the end.
“Bit late for run now, eh?” Georgia mutters.
“How about hide then? Or let’s split up and look for clues?” Conner retorts sarcastically.
“Hiding may not be such a bad idea,” the Doctor mentions, noticing Velox coming down the stairs.
Georgia dives behind the sofa, Conner runs into the toilet, and the Doctor crouches behind the Television.
“Little alien, I know you’re here!” Velox chants.
Conner is hiding in the toilet. He is sat on the loo, looking nervous. He sees a silhouette of Velox, when he notices he has left the light on.
“Oh crap, the light!” Conner whispers angrily.
Velox smashes a hole in the wall of the toilet. He pulls out some wires, and rearranges them. Then Velox stalks into the living room. He pushes the sofa that Georgia is hiding behind into the wall. Georgia lets out a muffled cry of pain. The Doctor steps out from behind the Television, which he Sonics on. The news reader Trinity Wells appears.
“And… In other news the work on the Spidership has resumed at Portsmouth Docks, Britain,” Trinity Wells reports “wait! We have some incoming news! There has been a reported attack by Extraterrestrials with eight arms in the UK area of London. We are advising people to stay in their homes, and get off of the streets.”
The Doctor dives past one of Velox’s oncoming legs, but it grabs his ankle, and dangles him upside down. Georgia crawls out from behind the sofa in time to see the Doctor being carried off by Velox. She leaps up, and runs out into the street.
“DOCTOR!” Georgia sobs.
All around her the whole of London is being destroyed. Octopli are everywhere.
Meanwhile, Conner is in the toilet, still hiding. Sensing that Velox is gone, he tries the door. It won’t come open. He tugs harder and harder but still it refuses. Conner hears a scrape, and whips around. The opposite wall is slowly moving closer. Conner immediately turns and tries to kick the door down.
“Let me out! Let me out!” he cried.
He puts his hands on the wall, to try and prevent it from coming closer. He looks around trying to find a key to the door.
“There must be something I can use to lever open the door or something!” Conner cried.
He pulls out his mobile, dials some numbers and presses it to his ear. On the other end, is a brown haired boy who is sat at his computer.
“Zac! Oh my God, help me!” Conner cried.
“Conner, honestly, where are you?” Zac said, looking bemused.
“In the toilet! Help!”
“Ewww. You’re gross. Please tell me you’ve finished,” Zac muttered.
“Just, tell me how I could get out of a locked door with no key!” Conner cried desperately.
“You didn’t pretend you’re an escape artist again, did you? It was bad enough last time, with the goat incident!” Zac said, irritated.
“What? Why do you always bring that up? It wasn’t my fault! It was Beth’s! And her weird friend Kay- Hang on! I was asking for you help, wasn’t I?” Conner asked.
“Oh yeah. I’m on the internet now; I’ll just look it up.”
“Computers! You are a genius!” Conner sighs with relief “hurry up though!”
The walls are getting extremely close now. A pipe explodes! Conner is drenched with water. Everything is really hectic in the toilet now.
“There must be a switch or a lever or something!” Zac shouts.
“What type of thing would it be?” Conner shouts back.
“Ummm, let me think…” Zac mutters.
“God! Quickly! Where’s the Doctor?” Conner cried.
“Who’s the Doctor? I’m coming over…” Zac asked.
“JUST TELL ME!” Conner yells.
Conner backs away again, but reaches the wall. The wall is still coming closer and closer. Another pipe bursts, scalding him.
“Try everything with a handle!” Zac cried.
Zac hangs up, and puts his phone into his pocket.
“Conner, I’m coming!” Zac muttered.
Meanwhile, Conner is pressing every switch or button he can in the toilet. Then he looks at the toilet itself, as another pipe bursts. Conner is now soaked.
“The flush!” Conner shouts.
He pulls down the flush and the door clicks open. He wrenches open the door, just as the toilet is crushed. It explodes as he walks away.
“Phew. Georgia, Doctor?” Conner shouted.
He runs into the destroyed living room, to see Georgia alone, with a bruised head, looking upset.
“Where’s the Doctor?” Conner asked.
“The aliens took him. Octopli or something… He was the only one who could save us!” Georgia sobbed.
“Is he alien? Are you alien?” Conner asked.
“I’m not, he is,” Georgia replied.
“How long have you known him?” Conner asked.
“A while. Since the invasion of those Magnet Warriors, at Christmas,” Georgia replied.
“That was two months ago!” Conner cried.
“It’s a long time for me. It’s sort of hard to explain,” Georgia nodded.
“Does he have a spaceship?” Conner asks.
“Yeah, the TARDIS,” Georgia replied.
“Are you in love?” Conner asked, with a perfectly straight face.
“What’s this? 20 questions?” Georgia snapped.
Conner falls silent.
“We need to help the Doctor!” Georgia cried.
“What can we do?” Conner asked.
“I’ve got a plan, and I’ll do whatever it takes to find him…”
To be continued…
