1.X Georgia and the Magnet Warriors
The Doctor makes a reference to a previous companion, but their name is not mentioned. It is a possibility that he is talking about Rose, or Donna.
Could it be one of them?
The Doctor mentions the Slitheen ship, which is the Spaceship of the green, farting aliens who first tried to invade Downing Street, then bothered Sarah Jane and her friends.
Commander Marr calls Earth by Sol 3, the designation most recently heard in Last of the Time Lords.
Sol 3.
UNIT feature in this episode, having previously starred in the classic series, and they recently met the Tenth Doctor during the Sontaran Stratagem/ The Poison Sky.
There are several references to bad things happening at Christmas, which was first mentioned in Voyage of the Damned, by Wilf, who was nearly the only person left after London fled, predicting disaster. That started with the Sycorax hypnotising people to stand on the rooftops, and the Christmas Star, or in reality the Racnoss ship, which electrocuted London.
There is a reference to the Valiant, a UNIT ship flying in the sky, protecting the skies of London. This makes its first appearance under the Master's control in The Sound of Drums, commences the Sontaran versus UNIT battle at the ATMOS Factory, and was last seen being exterminated by the Daleks in The Stolen Earth. Apparently, it survived.
Protecting the skies...
Torchwood, Cardiff is mentioned, and Torchwood has its own spin off show. The remaining team consist of Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones, after Owen Harper and Toshiko Sato perished in Exit Wounds, the last episode of season two of Torchwood. Gwen and Ianto made their Doctor Who debuts in The Stolen Earth, while Jack's first appearance was The Empty Child.
Georgia refers to the Doctor as Doctor Who, which, for many years, has been speculated to be his real name. The First Doctor was referred to as Doctor Who once, and the name Doctor Who appears on the television credits.
The Doctor mentions the Rattigan Academy Teleport, designed by the Sontarans, later to become Project Indigo.
The Rattigan Academy Teleport.

Velox mentions Partner in Crime, which is also the title for series 4 episode 1.
Partners in Crime, Donna Noble and the Doctor.
Velox calls Georgia 'that filthy little' before the Doctor interrupts with 'Bit rich', which also occurs in New Earth, between Rose and Cassandra.
The Octopli plan to build Monuments around the world, like the Master.
The Doctor asks Araknin why they didn't intergrate themselves, which is a reference to the Slitheen invading Downing Street, quietly, behind the scenes.
When Georgia and Conner are attacked by the arms of the Octopli ship, it is a reference to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban film, where the Whomping Willow attacks Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.
Harry and Hermione.
Conner, before being attacked by the ship, says 'oh, shi-' before being interrupted. This is a reference to Heroes, and is said by Claire Bennet and her dad Noah Bennet, or HRG, which stands for horn rimmed glasses, of which he is famous for wearing.
Claire Bennet.
Zac asks where Torchwood could possibly be, and Torchwood can be seen above.
An Octopli Guard says 'well, well, well' like the famous phrase supposedly said by Policemen.

The Doctor says that travelling in the TARDIS is the trip of a lifetime, like he says in the series 1 trailer, promoting the return of Doctor Who in 2005.
Conner says that he wants to travel to the Stars, and Beyond, in a reference to Buzz Lightyears' famous catchphrase: To infinity, and Beyond!
1.2 Maids, Myths and Monsters
The episode starts with a slightly redone version of the end of the last episode.
Conner says he didn't find Narnia in his wardrobe, in a direct reference to C S Lewis' book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, in which young girl Lucy finds a magical land in the back of a wardrobe.
Lucy discovers the Wardobe, it's a shame Conner didn't.
The Doctor mentions the Time War, and that his species, the Time lords, fought with the Daleks, but they were both destroyed.
Conner makes several references to the Saturday night BBC 1 program Robin Hood, and points out several faults on the program.
Conner thinks he's being secretly filmed, and put on ITV's You've Been Framed, hosted by Harry Hill, which features funny home videos.
You've Been Framed's Harry Hill.

The Doctor claims to have invented the word interrogated.
The Doctor implies that plenty of people have tried to hang him before.
The Doctor says he is tired of hanging around, which is the name of the Zutons first album.

There is another reference to the possibility of romance between Georgia and Conner.
The Doctor gives Marian a choice to leave, like he has with many other aliens threatening the Earth.
Georgia is shocked at meeting the Merry Men, and when Much is revealed to fancy the Doctor, Georgia isn't surprised, as Much appears to be attracted to Robin in the series.
Much and Robin, a match made in Heaven?
The Doctor says 'oh yes!', which he often says, particularly in series 4.
Georgia says 'you're only supposed to blow the bloody ship up', in a reference to The Italian Job, and later St. Trinian's.
The St. Trinian's girls, and Miss Evangelista?
1.3 The Cats in the Kingdom
There is a reference to the red people, who were seen on New Earth and Gridlock.
Sir Ralf mentions the under city, previously seen in Gridlock, where the Doctor took Martha.
Nottingham is mentioned as the last place they visited, which explains the lack of mini eps, but doesn't explain how they changed their clothes. They changed, then decided where to go next.
Conner falls to the floor when the TARDIS takes off, like Rose and the Doctor do in Tooth and Claw, or Martha and the Doctor do at the end of Smith and Jones. The Doctor and Donna also collapse onto the floor, after Donna jumps from the Robot Santa driven car on the motorway in The Runaway Bride.
Rose in Tooth and Claw.
Conner is amazed at seeing a few of the occupants of New Earth are cats, as Rose does in New Earth.
Conner remembers Guy of Gisbourne and Marian from their last adventure, comparing them to being on an alien planet.
The Doctor calls himself John Smith, as he does in many other episodes.
The Doctor estimates the position of the Senate, referring to the time when he was teleported inside the Senate, shortly followed by Martha.
Novice Hame returns, from New Earth and Gridlock, as do Brannigan and Valerie (and their kittens!) from Gridlock, this time with a new car.
Brannigan and Valerie, with the Doctor in Gridlock.
The Doctor uses a high pitched noise to deter some Dwars, as he has done to many aliens, including the Robot Santas at Christmas.
There are various references to the Macra, the alien race who proved to be a bit of a problem for Martha in Gridlock.
One of the kittens is called Boe, named after the Face of Boe, who may be Captain Jack Harkness.
The Face of Boe.
The TARDIS leaves Conner behind, like it did with Sally Sparrow and Larry in Blink, and this is because the TARDIS isn't used to Conner, especially after he died in Maids, Myths and Monsters. The TARDIS fully excepts Conner after he has been on several trips.
Georgia asks Cgarnort and Jiberatt who the hell they are, like Martha says to the Hath in the Doctor's Daughter.
The computer changes its mind, and appears less sinister, like the Ood do in The Impossible Planet.
Brannigan has told many stories about the Doctor, as have various places he has saved done previously, like Caecillius and his family in The Fires of Pompeii.
Remembering the Doctor and Donna in the Fires of Pompeii.
The Doctor pretends to be a king, as he does in The Idiot's Lantern.
Valerie screams about her children being too young, which mirrors Cassandra's comments about being too young in The End of the World. This is also a reference to how Valerie would not be permitted to be taken down to the fast lane, as she would not risk her children's safety.
Conner mentions Skeletons in Closets, which is a reference and a joke to the well known phrase of having Skeletons in your closet.
A Harasser falls down to the ground, a splats, much like the fate of Miss Foster in Partners in Crime.
Brannigan exclaims The Cats in the Kingdom, which he also says in Gridlock, and is the name of the episode.
Conner and Hame visit the tomb of the Face of Boe, and refer to the time when he saved New Earth in Gridlock.
The Doctor orders Sir Ralf not to salute, referring to The Sontaran Stratagem and The Poison Sky, as well as Georgia and the Magnet Warriors.
The Doctor tells Brannigan not to blink, giving a nod to Blink, which featured the Weeping Angels, where the only way to escape them was not blinking.
Don't blink!
The Doctor saves Hame from the Harassers, only for them to chase Brannigan and the Doctor. Brannigan's comment refers to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, where Hermione Granger saves Harry from a Werewolf by calling for it, only for it to chase her and Future Harry. Harry and Brannigan say relatively the same thing.
The Doctor says Allons-y again.
Hame asks if the statues are people who've caught petrifold regression, which is a disease that the Duke of Manhatten had in New Earth.
The Doctor mentions that the planet is still in automatic quarentine, which is also mentioned in Gridlock, after the events of New Earth.
The Harassers mention the period where everyone went to the Motorway, which occurs in Gridlock.
Gridlock's Motorway.
1.4 The Demon Headmaster
The episode starts where Conner left off; with Zac running off to find his parents.
He notices a Slitheen ship fly over London, as it did in Aliens of London.
The Slitheen Ship that flew into Big Ben was 5 years ago, making the year 2010, if you include 2006 as well. 2006 should be included because Aliens of London/ World War Three took place in March 2006.
The Slitheen Ship.
Zac notices that the ship does not belong to the Octopli, who were the enemies in episode 1.
The Slitheen that feature in this double were last seen in Georgia and the Magnet Warriors, and this is confirmed by the Slitheen recounting their encounters with the Magnet Warriors.
The Slitheen attack the Doctor through Georgia and Conner, and it is confirmed that they saw the Doctor leave with Conner and Georgia in the TARDIS.
London is full of rubble and knocked over bins, following the attack of the Octopli.
Georgia teases Conner by calling him Con Con, which was the name given to him by the Kittens in The Cats in the Kingdom.
Conner replies by saying that the Doctor is fixing the Sonic Screwdriver, after it was damaged in The Cats in the Kingdom.
The Sonic Screwdriver.
Conner is forced to admit that his last name was stolen off Kaylie, when the Doctor asks him about it.
The TARDIS lands at the park where it first landed in Georgia and the Magnet Warriors. This could mean that it is a favourite place of the TARDIS' now.
Harry compares their situation to the Demon Headmaster, a series of books involving hypnotised children.
The Goat incident is mentioned again.
The school is full of radio steroes, which bellow announcements, which also appear in Hogwarts when Professor Umbridge takes over the school. This could also be a reference to Grange Hill, which has speakers of the School Radio Station.
Professor Umbridge.
Zac and his friends research the Doctor in order to find Conner, but the old files on him have dissapeared. At the end of World War Three, the Doctor gives Mickey Smith a file that wiped all the information off of the internet.
Another virus that removed the Doctor from the internet was called a Bad Wolf virus, which affected the Torchwood files on Rose Tyler, as seen in Love & Monsters.
Harry mentions them finding a picture from the Middle Ages, where the Doctor is carrying a bow and quiver, referring to events in Maids, Myths and Monsters.
Kaylie refers to when the Doctor said goodbye to Captain Jack, Martha and Mickey in Journey's End, in a park in London, after the Earth was returned home.
Georgia mentions that she keeps a diary of her adventures in Time and Space. This is similar to the Journal of Impossible Things, which was a diary of John Smith's dreams, which were, in reality, the Doctor's real adventures.
Kaylie notices that the Doctor's nickname, given to him by Harry is also the nickname of Dudley in Harry Potter, given to him by his gang.
Dudley with his mum and dad, Petunia and Vernon, in Harry Potter.
The Slitheen identify the Doctor as a Time Lord.
The Doctor asks the school whether the are any supply jobs going, as he previously got a job as a supply teacher in School Reunion.
The Doctor tells Zac and Kaylie not to spray the Slitheen for the sake of it, as he has to give them a chance. This follows with his morals about warning the aliens before killing them.
Zac has trouble with saying Raxicoricofallapatorious, which has also happened to Rose and Sarah Jane.
Rose in Boom Town, with friend, shaking hands.
Georgia mentions wierd ingerdients in tea, and after Richard says he'll have them, she's sure he's an alien. This mirrors Martha asking Jenny some strange questions to make sure she's an alien.
The Doctor shouts a line from the song by Pink Floyd. Harry recognises it, probably because of the Eric Prydz remix version called Proper Education.
The Slitheen mention that the Doctor has regenerated, reffering to the fact that the last time they met, the Doctor was in his 9th regeneration.
The Headmaster refers to events in Aliens of London/ World War Three and Boom Town, when the Doctor previously fought the Slitheen. They are wrong when they say he murdered Blon Fel Fotch, as she was resurrected as an egg and taken to the Hatchery on Raxicoricofallapatorious.
He also refers to Sarah Jane and her team's defeat of the Slitheen in the first story of series 1 of the Sarah Jane Adventures, Revenge of the Slitheen.
The Slitheen in the toilet mention a slim line skin suit, as previously seen in The Lost Boy, the last Sarah Jane Adventures story of series 1. This of course turns out to be Mr Roberts in disguise!
Kaylie also has trouble pronouncing Raxicoricofallapatorious.
The Doctor finds out that the Magnet Warriors weren't defeated in Georgia and the Magnet Warriors, and some teleported away from the Slitheen's attack. They send the Doctor a message in Slitheen School.
1.5 Slitheen School
The Slitheen dislike going out in public, as that would mean revealing their true human forms. Slitheen have quickly dressed each other in Aliens of London.
Kaylie spells out her name as well as two other possibilities, as we had trouble deciding what to call her. Will wanted to call her Kayleigh, and Seb wanted to call her Kaly. We eventually agreed on Kaylie, calling it the 'Kylie' version in reference to Kylie Minogue who appeared as Astrid in Voyage of the Damned, as was mentioned in The Idiot's Lantern.
Astrid Peth in Voyage of the Damned, with the Doctor and Host.
Conner appears to be dead at one point in the episode, in a reference to the amount of times Conner dies. He is apparently killed in the toilet by the Slitheen, and this is also a reference to Conner always getting into trouble in toilets.
Conner and Georgia nearly hug, but choose not to as a reference to their possible romance.
Kaylie relates her last name Watson to Emma Watson, the actress who portrays Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, and the Doctor mentions Conner Watson, Conner's fake last name given to Georgia and the Doctor when he didn't know them.
Georgia says that she hasn't seen her parents in two months, but only sort of because it had been longer for her, but two months for Colin and Elizabeth.
The Slitheen capture Georgia's parents Colin and Elizabeth, to stop Georgia from hiding there. The Octopli also attacked Colin and Elizabeth, but they didn't know the link with Georgia, they were just pillaging.
Conner reminds the Doctor that his parents are in Portsmouth.
Georgia and the Doctor referr to their jolly at christmas with UNIT, Georgia branding the Doctor and UNIT 'chummy'. They have a message from the Magnet Warriors to play to the Doctor, but the Slitheen cut off the signal before an important message is revealed.
UNIT
Georgia is reunited with Brian, her friend from christmas who worked in the bakery with her.
Harry calls the Doctor Big D again.
Georgia says 'Hi Mum!' which is what most people say whenever they're on th television. Even when they're trying to stop an army of children and farting, green aliens, it seems.
The Funeral of Richard takes place a week later, and in that time Georgia went off in the TARDIS and grieved then recovered, and Conner found his time/ place/ event telling watch at a market on San Kloon.
Zac adopts the mini motto 'positive Kaylie, positive' in this episode, and uses it twice. After returning home from adventures in the TARDIS, this motto is forgotten.
1.6 Spirits of the Past
Conner refers to the previous adventure, asking sarcastically why the Doctor doesn't let the Slitheen be companions as well as Zac.
Conner says that travelling in the TARDIS is like Star Wars, the popular science fiction films about Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
The Doctor says he travelled with Oliver Twist, a famous character from the book of the same name by Charles Dickens.
He also mentions previous companion Romana, who travelled with his fourth incarnation. She was a Time Lady, and, after regenerating during a particularly dangerous adventure, the Doctor continued travelling, but with Romana 2.
Romana, in her second incarnation.
The Doctor also claims he once travelled with Mary Poppins, who was a Nanny for the Banks children who flew around on an umbrella, in the hit Disney film. He also says that she loved to sing, in a reference to the songs in the film version of the story.
The Doctor says that Mary Poppins' umbrella was turned into the TARDIS coatstand by a Carrionite, witch like creatures the Doctor, Martha Jones and William Shakespeare fought at the Globe Theater in The Shakespeare Code, a story from the third series of revived Doctor Who.
Conner asks if James Bond is a Time Lord, as he is portrayed by various actors and has a new assisstant every film, in the shape of a pretty young girl. This reflects the Doctor's ability to regenerate into a new body, and the fact that he has companions to share life in the TARDIS with.
During a conversation in French, Zac remembers only one expression- 'Zut Alors!' This means 'Oh no!'. Georgia says 'we'll probably come to that bit later', referring to the constant danger of life in the TARDIS.
Georgia and Conner mention the Cybermen and the Daleks when trying to think of the Doctor's greatest enemy. They only know these monsters from stories told by the Doctor, as neither of them have met the Cybermen or Daleks. Their first encounter with the Daleks is The Spidership, and they have yet to meet the Cybermen. The Cybermen have previously been mentioned, however, in Conner, and one Cybermen attacked Torchwood in Own Problems.
A Cyberman.
Conner and Georgia reference the Time War, fought between the Time Lords and the Daleks, and make a joke out of it, dubbing Hollywood's threat A Great Film War.
The Doctor references the previous adventure, Slitheen School, where the Slitheen are defeated at the chip shop, and later the Doctor and Zac discuss with excitement their triumph over the Slitheen.
Conner and Georgia mention three celebrities, Paris Hilton, who is known for having a small dog in her handbag, Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse, referring to both their spells in Rehab.
The Doctor tries to call a Flamingo Arthur, in reference to The Girl in the Fireplace, where he names his horse Arthur, and Peacemaker, a Doctor and Martha novel, when Martha complains that the Doctor calls every animal Arthur. Instead, he calls his horse Rose, much to the annoyance of Martha.
Martha.
Princess Vossaheen appears in a glass box. She is previously mentioned in Bad Wolf, and is the subject of a question asked by the Anne-Droid to Rose.
The Doctor says that through the mirror, into the portal, is another girl, another planet, referring to the song. However, unintenionally, he is correct, because in the portal leads to Earth, which is different planet from Vesualas, and Conner sees some girls at a Disco, which refers to the another girl bit.
The Doctor, Georgia and Zac have a spirited conversation about Shrek, the popular green ogre, and the Doctor says that he has seen at least two films that aren't currently out, Shrek 4 and Shrek 5.
Conner thinks the Doctor is looking for him, until he realises the Ninth Doctor and Rose are here in an undiscribed adventure.
Zac says that one of the Ghosts reminds him of Capser, the friendly Ghost.
When Conner is saved by a mystery man, the man catches Conner with a Tractor Beam, which is the technology used to save Rose Tyler while she falls from a Barrage Balloon in the middle of the blitz by Captain Jack Harkness.
Rose.
Conner sees two major landmarks in this adventure, the Eifel Tower in Paris, and the Taj Mahal in Mumbai. The Taj Mahal has been in Doctor Who before, the Ghost/Cybermen having materialised there in The Army Of Ghosts. The Eifel Tower is also attacked by the Cybermen at the end of that episode.
After Zac saves Georgia while riding Pinky Joe, they sing David Hasslehoff's song Jump in my Car, referring to Georgia deciding whether or not to get on Pinky Joe with Zac, and accepting his offer of a lift.
The Doctor offers to take them to tea with Jane Austen, the famous writer. It appears that their English lessons haven't covered this however, as Georgia, Zac and Conner are unaware of who she is.
The Doctor plays David Bowie's Starman, which was previously played in Aliens of London, and Georgia notices how the lyrics fit the Doctor's persona. The Doctor agrees, which implies that he is the reference of the song.
1.7 Be Civil
The Doctor thinks he is taking Georgia, Conner and Zac to the Great Fire of London which was started in a Baker's shop in Pudding Lane. The Doctor claims it is nothing to do with him, as the Fifth Doctor started it in 1982's The Visitation.
Zac asks to meet Samuel Peeps- a famous diary writer who's diary covered the Great Fire in 1666.
Georgia mentions they went to the 39th Century, where they bought the silver jackets. This is a reference to the mini ep Go Fish, where the TARDIS took them to the 39th Century, and Georgia took them shopping afterwards.
The Doctor says he is from the Magnet Town Warriors, in reference to the Magnet Warriors he and Georgia battled at Christmas.
The Doctor tells Georgia and Cromwell to Be Civil, in reference to the Civil War, and the episode's title, Be Civil.
Conner remembers the portals in Vesualas, as going into the hill/ spaceship feels like walking through a portal.
Cromwell thinks alien means foreign, as do various people from the past, when the word meant a different thing.
Rally reminds Conner of Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter, who is the main villain in the series.
Lord Voldemort.
Georgia flirts with Sergeant Jones and kisses him, which follows the pattern of companions falling in love with people from different places, like Rose in The Empty Child with Captain Jack, Martha with Riley in 42, Donna with Roger Curbishley in The Unicorn and the Wasp (until she finds out he fancies the Footman Davenport), Astrid with Bannakaffalatta in Voyage of the Damned and Captain Jack Harkness in practically every episode he's in.
The Doctor mentions that Rule 1 in the TARDIS is not to wander off, which most of his companions fail to grasp.
The Plague Carriers have stolen technology, like the Slitheen and the Magnet Warriors. Hmmm...
The Doctor mentions that he used to reverse the polarity of things a lot, in reference to the Third Doctor, who often saved the day with his polarity reversing skills! The last time the Doctor had to reverse the polarity of something was in the Lazarus Experiment when he reversed the polarity of the de-aging machine to attack the Lazarus creature instead of himeslf and Martha trapped in the machine.
The Lazarus Experiment.
Georgia has a conversation about Conner with Miss Williams, which is a possible reference to a romance between Conner and Georgia.
Georgia wonders whether the Earth was still believed to be flat in 1666, which was a theory thought by everyone to be true. It is not confirmed whether Miss Williams believes the Earth is flat.
Sergeant Jones and Georgia share a similar conversation about who sees who first with the Doctor and Rose, who have the conversation in The Impossible Planet.
The Doctor mentions a washing machine, and Zac jokes that they need Calgon, a popular clothes washing brand.
Cerone says that it is nice to meet another Time Lord in their travels, so does that mean they met a first one? Did a Time Lord survive? Dun dun duh!
King Charles' Aide mentions Prince Rupert, a relative of King Charles in charge of many troops. He apparently had a dog as well a King Charles, who had Spaniels.
When Georgia suspects Conner will die, she remembers her brother Richard, who died in Slitheen School after he was caught by the Slitheen.
The Doctor lures the Green Plague Zombies into a confined space, like he does in New Earth while luring the new humans into the elevator to cure them.
Georgia wants to stay behind with Sergeant Jones, but Conner forces her to stay, getting her to remember her family back home, who last appeared in Slitheen School.
The TARDIS tows the spaceship into space, like it tows the rocket from The Satan Pit, and the Earth in Journey's End.
Journey's End, towing the Earth home!
Georgia takes Sergeant Jones to retirement on the planet Marshmellow, which briefly appeared when it was attacked by the Magnet Warriors and has been mentioned several times since.
1.8 Virtual Reality
Harry and Kaylie return in this episode, having last been seen in Slitheen School.
Conner dislikes travelling in the TARDIS with Zac again, as he did in Spirits of the Past when he complained of the Doctor's invitation given to Zac.
Harry thinks Bulba's voice sounds like Wall-E, the main character of film Wall-E, about a cute robot all alone in the universe.
Zac mentions that Kaylie has a brother, who lives in Australia. She also has two sisters, who appear in The Spidership and Betrayal and Death.
The Doctor said that he once tried to escape from the Village of Dibley, where Vicar Geraldine Granger lives in sitcom The Vicar of Dibley. His escape took an hour and fifteen minutes.
One of Lisa Rock's favourite films is The House of Flying Daggers, which has a fight scene set in a Bamboo Forest. In the film, the young heroine dies, and Lisa hopes the same thing won't happen to her.
Characters from Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures appear in this episode, but Maria Jackson and her family shouldn't be there. In 2010, she had long since moved out of Bannerman Road, and was replaced by Rani Chandra, and possibly others in the space between 2008 and 2010. However, at the time of writing, Maria was on her last story, The Last Sontaran, and was included as it was unknown what Rani Chandra was like, and as a tribute to Maria, who left in The Last Sontaran.
Sarah Jane complains about Mr Smith's fanfare, in a reference to The Stolen Earth, in which she did the same. Now, the fanfare was fused to his circuits, an could not be removed.
K-9, the Doctor's old travelling companion is mentioned, but he is presumably not here as he is still trying to stop the Black Hole that threatens the Earth.
Luke asks Clyde for tips on how to be cool, as he often does in The Sarah Jane Adventures, as he was made, and never born, so does not know about social status.
Maria remembers the last time she and Alan Jackson had seen divorced mum Chrissie was when saving a Spcae Pig, which Chrissie had spotted. It is unclear whether the Space Pig is similar to the one featured in Aliens of London.
Chrissie continually gets Sarah Jane's name wrong, as she does in The Sarah Jane Adventures, in reference to the Doctor Who spin-off.
One of Dorris' shop keeper rivals in called Mr Dorrit, in reference to the televison programme of Little Dorrit, which was shown on the bbc in November and December 2008.
Kaylie complains that she's all out of vinegar when she, Zac and Georgia realise aliens are behind Virtual Reality. Zac points out that only a few aliens can be defeated by vinegar, and it is clear both are referring to The Demon Headmaster and Slitheen School, in which Slitheen invaded their school, and were defeated with vinegar.
Georgia call Zac Churchill after a particularly encouraging speech, in reference to the British Prime Minister who was PM during the Second World War.
Dorris faces a Cheshire Cat, which is the same one as the one from Alice in Wonderland.
Zac says a little bit of hush- in reference to Tommy Connolly's dad in The Idiot's Lantern.
Kaylie says trolls only go for princesses, which is a mix up of fairy tales.
1.9 Game Over
