Episode 8: Virtual Reality Part 1

Harry walks into his bedroom. 3 weeks later, Kaylie walks into her brother’s room.

Harry turns on the Television. 3 weeks later, so does Kaylie.

Harry switches on the games console. 3 weeks later, so does Kaylie.

Harry begins playing the game, Virtual Reality. 3 weeks later, so does Kaylie.

Harry touches the games console. 3 weeks later, so does Kaylie.

Harry is pulled into Virtual Reality, yelling. 3 weeks later, Kaylie switches off the console, and leaves the room.

3 weeks earlier, Harry does not.

4 weeks after Harry disappeared; Kaylie is sat on the floor, in her brother’s room. She is playing a video game on a Playstation: Virtual Reality. On the case it features a little blue alien putting his hand into the television. Then there is a crackle, and sparks are emitted from the console. Kaylie leans forward to check it out.

“Must be hot or something,” Kaylie muttered, touching the console.

Then there is a flash of sparks, and Kaylie gets sucked into the TV, head first. Kaylie is now touching the screen with her fingertips. Her eyes are wide with fear…

Title Sequence.

The Doctor, Georgia and Conner are walking down Brighton Beach. Zac is sat on the wall, eating an ice cream.

“D’you remember that time when we went undercover at a Ballet School?” the Doctor grinned.
“Yeah, you saved the world in a bright Pink Tutu!” Georgia smiled.
“I’ve still got that picture of him taken by the horse, of him jumping off the stage at that man in the wig!” Conner grinned.

Zac finished his ice cream, and slid off the wall.

“When was this?” Zac asked.
“Before you joined,” Conner said.

Conner doesn’t like sharing time and space with Zac.

“Those were the days,” Georgia sighed.
“Well I’ll go home if you like,” Zac said, offended.
“I didn’t mean… Well, erm… Never mind,” Georgia reeled off.
“Looks like you all could have a rest. C’mon, let’s go to London. Back home,” the Doctor said, breaking the silence.
“You’re right Doctor,” Conner said “I wrote this letter to my parents, who are on the Spidership. I need to post it.”
“I want to see Kaylie,” Zac said, brightening up “can we go to her area?”
“Course, you got all your stuff?” the Doctor asked.

The walk down the end of the peer, where the TARDIS is parked. They enter and the TARDIS fades away. It spins through the Vortex. It materialises in an estate full of blocks of flats. Zac steps out of the TARDIS.

“Here it is!” Zac cried.

The others step out too.

“Anyone else coming?” Zac asked.
“I need to go to the post office,” Conner said quickly.
“I’ll go with Conner,” the Doctor said equally as quickly.
“Oh all right,” Georgia sighed “I’ll go with Zacco to his mates.”

Zac and Georgia walk into the flats. The Doctor follows Conner over the hill, while Georgia follows Zac up several flights of stairs. They reach Kaylie’s door.

“Is anybody there?” Zac called.

No answer.

“Hello?” Georgia shouted.
“Something must be wrong,” Zac said “she never goes out.”
“Not much of a social life then?” Georgia asked, trying to force the door.

She opens the door, and Zac runs into the room.

“Awww sweet,” Georgia smiled.

4 weeks earlier, Harry opened his eyes. He comes face to face with a little blue alien.

“Hello!” Harry grinned.
“Hi,” the alien said, in a cute Wall-E type voice “you must come with me. Something has gone wrong! My father’s Game has started capturing people! If you help me, I’ll release you.”
“OK,” Harry said wearily, standing up.

The little alien led the way to where it had put its things down, before coming to stare at Harry. It picked up a teleport, and Harry and the little blue alien vanished.

Lisa Rock opened her eyes. She sat up, and coughed a handful of sand out of her mouth. Last thing she remembered, she’d been given a break from her army training, and went to the rest room. Once there, she began playing Virtual Reality, but the console had gone wrong. After touching the console, everything had gone black, and she had woken up here.

Georgia and Zac walk through the spookily quiet house. They enter into Kaylie’s room. It’s a typical 14 year old girl’s room, and there is a desk in one corner. Zac walks up to it. The desk is covered in papers, and Zac picks up a couple.

As you may know, our school is entering the Spidership Competition. If we win, this year will receive a free trip on the Spidership. For the other years prizes, see the School Secretary.

“Blah blah blah. We’re never going to win. I mean, the Spidership!” Zac grinned.
“I wish I was still at school, and then I could go,” Georgia said.
“Well-” Zac began, before noticing the piece of paper underneath.

He holds it up to Georgia.

Where is Zac? This is the second time someone has disappeared around the same area. The other story was reported several weeks ago. It is believed that the boys were friends.

“I’m in the news!” Zac grinned.

He takes the other piece of paper from his other hand.

“And here’s another one!” Zac said, excitedly.

Have you seen Conner? He is believed to have been seen last in the area of-

Zac and Georgia hear a noise, coming from another room.

“That’s Kaylie’s Brother’s room,” Zac said “but he’s in Australia!”

They run out into the hallway. And walk in. Nothing…

Harry was screaming. He felt his whole body being pulled apart. Something was wrong with the teleport- it must be. After all, it wasn’t supposed to tear you apart and scatter your atoms was it? Harry thought this as he felt himself whooshing through the air. He couldn’t see anything, for he had his eyes tightly clamped shut. With a horrible wrenching sound, Harry’s body was pulled apart, and with another, his head was pulled off.

Lisa stepped backwards. She had been walking through the desert, before coming face to face with a huge mammoth- which had no right to be there, but Lisa supposed in the Virtual world anything was possible. The trouble was, it was about to squash her flat.

“She must be out, she must be,” Zac said desperately.
“No I don’t think so… Look at the games console. It’s on!” Georgia gasped.

Georgia walks over to the TV. Kaylie is pressed up against the glass.

“Oh my God! I’ve found her!”

To be continued…
