Episode 9: Game Over Part 2
Mr Smith switched back on. The lizards disappeared, in both Sarah Jane’s attic, and the Jackson’s front garden. Sarah Jane, Maria, Clyde, Alan and Chrissie all breathed sighs of relief. So did Mr Smith; Sarah Jane would have kicked him in the digits if he hadn’t overcome the upset.
“Ah, Zacco me boy!” the Doctor grinned “and Kaylie too!”
“Georgia’s dead.”
“-doing on this- Say what?” the Doctor asked, surprised.
“Georgia. She’s dead! She’s gone!” Zac said.
“Gone,” the Doctor said quietly.
“She drowned by the pond in Level 3. I’m so sorry Doctor,” Kaylie said “I saw her, but only had time to pull me and Zac across the lily pads.”
The Doctor stuck his arms out into the air, and looked at the sky, surprising Kaylie enough to make her scream at the Doctor’s sudden movement.
“So,” he bellowed “where’s the boss? The real alien? My friend died because of you! For your amusement, was it? Eh?”
“Actually,” a squeaky voice calmly replied “it was for a purpose. It helped a great deal.”
There’s a zapping noise, and the alien teleports to meet the Doctor and friends. They turn around, to see the little blue alien with the wide eyes, from the case of the game.
“And, she’s not actually dead,” the alien said “she has one life left, and is currently travelling through Level 2, with a boy.”
“Conner!” Zac cried “it must be him!”
“My name’s Bulba, by the way,” Bulba said “I’m the controller of the Game.”
As Bulba talks, the Doctor pays full attention, so does not appear to notice Zac sneak off.
“I’ll finish this Game yet!” Zac muttered.
Chrissie looked at where the lizard once stood, and fainted. Alan smiled to himself.
Conner and Georgia reach the bridge. The bridge is now fixed, and the lily pads are back in place. So is the Troll.
“The lily pads!” Conner and Georgia cried looking at each other quickly.
They walk across the pads safely, and reach the other side.
“Look!” Georgia cried “there’s Level 4!”
Dorris crept through the bamboo forest, weary of any Cheshire Cats. Meanwhile, Lisa was on the lookout for any more black beasts. Dorris heard a crack of bamboo. Lisa kicked a bamboo trunk out of the way, and continued. Dorris tensed up, seeing a shape a short while away. Lisa noticed a shadow, and crept backwards silently. Dorris crept backwards. Dorris hit something, and so did Lisa.
Georgia and Conner run forward, into Level 4. There they see the Doctor and Kaylie, with the little blue alien. The Doctor turns around, and sees them both. Georgia and the Doctor run towards each other, and hug in slow motion, for a long time. Kaylie turns to Conner.
“Welcome back,” Kaylie said quietly.
“Come here you!” Conner cried, pulling her into a hug.
Reluctantly, Kaylie hugs him back, and gives a small smile. Quickly, they break apart, and wipe their clothes. Suddenly, several Tigers leap at Bulba and the TARDIS crew from the bushes. They circle them. The little alien looks at them.
“Sorry,” Bulba apologised “I’ve only got one teleport. I’ll try and write them out of the game. I can hurry, but that’s it.”
And with a flash of blue light, Bulba is gone, leaving them to their fate.
To be continued…
