Episode 6: Spirits of the Past Part 3

“Doctor, please,” Georgia begged.

Then the Ghost stopped.

“Ooh?” the Ghost asked.
“It’s picked up a signal,” the Doctor said relieved.
“Oooooooooooooooooooooh!” the Ghost cried.

It flew off upstairs. Georgia steps forward, and turns to face the Doctor.

“Did you have something to do with that?” Georgia grinned.
“No,” the Doctor replied.
“Oh, well thanks a bunch!” Georgia cried.
“Come on, let’s look at these boxes,” the Doctor said, bending down to one.

Georgia handed him the Sonic Screwdriver.

“Where did Zac and Conner get to?” the Doctor asked “I want an espresso!”
“Hmm, Doctor, about that…” Georgia said.

Conner and Zac clamber out of a mirror in a restaurant style toilet.

“Oof. Where are we?” Zac asked.
“2012,” Conner informed “a disco.”
“How do you know?” Zac asked.
“Cause the Doctor gave me a watch that tells you stuff: time period, location, you know… For my birthday,” Conner replied.
“Don’t be stupid,” Zac scorned “it hasn’t been your birthday yet, yours is in April.”
“It sort of messes with your head in there,” Conner explained “the TARDIS I mean. You forget dates.”
“Oh, well, Happy Birthday!” Zac grinned.

Conner leads the way into the Disco. Run, by Gnarls Barkley is playing.

“Consider this my present,” Conner grinned sidling up to a group of girls.

He then remembers Georgia and walks away again. Georgia and the Doctor are now running upstairs, and reach the bathroom.

“It’s colder in here,” Georgia muttered.
“Exactly,” the Doctor smiled “through the mirror is another girl, another planet! We’ve got to get them out!”
“Couldn’t we go through?” Georgia asked.
“Well-” the Doctor began.

BANG! Georgia knocks over a toothbrush in surprise. The Doctor jumped up in shock.

“What was that?” Georgia asked nervously.
“Let’s go and find out,” the Doctor said.

Neither of them move.

“After you,” Georgia said.
“Ladies first,” the Doctor countered.

They creep outside. Zac stumbles out of a cupboard, looking scared. Georgia and the Doctor jump up in surprise.

“Oh my God!” Zac cried “we were at a Disco in 2012. Conner got hyper on Coke, some Chavs had a fight, there’s teachers dancing on the tables, music from the Band- oh, and I lost Conner.”
“Which Band?” Georgia asked, amazed.
“Oh, it was-” Zac began.
“Ummm, sorry to interrupt, but, did you lose Conner?” the Doctor asked.
“Oh that…” Zac said airily “yeah I did, but the band! They were called the T-”
“Where did he go?” the Doctor asked, sticking to the point.
“God, it’s all about Conner. He went through another portal thing-y- but there was some music off of Shrek and-” Zac grinned.
“Shrek? Is that the- ohh, umm, ahhh! The green ogre!” the Doctor grinned back.
“Yeah!” Georgia laughed “I love that film!”
“The fifth Shrek is amazing,” the Doctor said “not so much the fourth- but the bit in the fifth with the- ohh, thing-y bobby- it’s just priceless! Shrek was actually a nice man- despite the rumours. They removed the bit with the giant mouse and me saving the world- but apart from that…”

Conner is stumbling around on a grey morning, on a hill.

“Zac?” Conner called “ummm hello? Christ it’s muddy here. Let’s see, hilltop, 1928.”

His watch bleeps.

“The portal!” Conner gasped “it’s closed!”

There is a rustle. Some shouts can be heard from way off.

“Doctor!” said one shouter.

This was followed by several screams.

“The Doctor’s here!” Conner cried “they must be looking for me!”
“Rose! What did you find?” the Doctor (with a suspicious northern accent) can be heard shouted back.
“Or maybe not,” Conner muttered.

He runs. He reaches the bottom of the hill, and runs down a muddy lane. Then everything changes. Conner hits a roof and rolls off of it. He falls, but grabs a green ledge.

“Ah. Doctor, I’m hanging off of you’ll never guess what,” Conner grinned, before suddenly realising “and I’m alone. He’s not coming. If I fall I’ll die.”

Zac, Georgia and the Doctor are walking around the glass boxes when several Ghosts rise up out of the floor.

“Right. Let’s see… Not friendly, but they’ll be distracted by something upstairs,” Georgia reasoned.
“Yeah, Conner and Zac going through the portal. Which may be a bit of a problem this time,” the Doctor replied.
“We’re surrounded,” Zac said, backing away.
“There’s no way out,” Georgia said quietly.
“Could this get any grimmer?” the Doctor asked.
“That one looks like Casper!” Zac grinned.
“Well it just got grimmer. That lasted a long time,” the Doctor sighed.
“Thanks,” Zac grinned “I appreciate it.”
“It’s no problem, seeing as were dead,” Georgia said.
“I bet you get taken to all the parties,” Zac muttered.
“Yep. You could almost say I’m the life and soul,” Georgia replied.
“I beg to differ,” the Doctor said darkly.

Conner slips and falls. The Ghosts close in.

“Ooh.”
“Ooooooh!”
“Ooooooooooooooooooooooh!”
