What If - Jenny

The Doctor, Martha, and Donna are being hurtled around the console room.

“I don't know where we're going but my old hand's very excited about it!” the Doctor cried.
“I thought that was just some freaky alien thing! You telling me it's yours?” Donna asked, disgusted.

The TARDIS has landed. The Doctor looks at his companions before suddenly running towards the door and outside. He exits the TARDIS and looks around curiously. They seem to be in some underground tunnel, littered with junk and old equipment. His companions soon follow.

“Alright, process them!” Cline said, motioning to another soldier.
“Oww ow ow!” the Doctor cried as his hand was extrapolated.

The machine whirred and out stepped a blonde woman in a tight fitting t-shirt.

“Hello Dad!”

~Later on, Jenny jumps in between the Doctor and a bullet, and dies for him, but what would happen if neither of them died? What would happen to Jenny? Let’s find out…~

The Doctor, Martha, Donna and Jenny are stood between the Hath and Human divisions. Everyone lowers their weapons. All except General Cobb, who raises his and points it at the Doctor. Jenny sees this, and leaps in front of the Doctor. Cobb fires.

Donna pushes the Doctor and Jenny forward in slow motion. They fall in a crumpled heap on the floor.

Cline and several others grab Cobb, while Donna sits up.

“Another one for the Super Temp!” she cried.
“Yeah, thanks Donna,” the Doctor said, rubbing his sore back “can’t imagine what we’d do without you.”

Jenny leapt to her feet. Martha smiled, knowing she was unhurt. Donna pulled the Doctor up off the floor, and then he went to face Cobb.

“I never would,” the Doctor said angrily raising the gun to Cobb “and yet you nearly did!”
“You deserved it!” Cobb spat “you stopped the war.”
“And that was worth killing?” the Doctor asked.

Cline lifted Cobb up by his armpits, and he was dragged off by two soldiers. The Doctor turned to Cline.

“This world should now grow into a sustainable planet, where you can live in peace forever, Hath and Humans, a friendship, without rivalry and hatred,” he said.
“Thanks Doctor,” Cline said “for everything. Are you sure you won’t stay? We’ve plenty of room. You could get first pick of space on the surface.”
“Err, no thanks Cline. We’re gonna move on. But could you do something for Martha’s Hath friend?” the Doctor asked.
“Peck? Of course, he’ll be remembered as a true Hath. So what’re you gonna do with Jenny? Is she staying with you? I mean, I could look after her if, if you didn’t want to take her with you,” Cline said awkwardly.

Donna heard the conversation and turned Jenny’s attention to it.

“No, it’s ok, Jenny’s coming with us,” the Doctor said, before turning to Jenny and grinning.

Jenny’s face lit up into a bright smile. She ran over to the Doctor, and pulled him into a hug.

“Really? You mean I can come with you?” Jenny cried.
“Yep! Ha!” the Doctor grinned.
“And- Donna won’t mind?” Jenny asked worriedly.

Donna walked over to them.

“Not at all!” she cried “so where are we gonna go first Doctor?”

Martha joined them, smiling slightly less now.

“You’d better take me home first,” she said.
“Do you have to?” the Doctor asked “we’ve got Jenny now!”
“Yes Doctor, I can’t get used to travelling again, or I’ll never leave!”

Later, the Doctor and Donna walked back into the TARDIS, with Jenny following them.

“That was Earth?” Jenny asked in amazement.
“Wizard, init!” Donna grinned “Doctor… I think Jenny might be hungry… How about Chips?”
“OK!” the Doctor grinned “let’s have chips!”

He pressed a lever on the TARDIS console, and it zoomed off to the nearest chippy.

End.
