VTV Series Episode 2: Beginnings

The Doctor opened the door to the TARDIS. Katie side stepped him and entered, holding her breath. She gasped in wonder at the size of it all.

“It’s bigger…” Katie began.
“…On the inside,” the Doctor finished.
“Yeah,” Katie said.

The Doctor walked up to the console, and Katie followed in awe. She looked upwards, gazing at the arches of coral. She walked over to one and felt it. It felt just like coral, and the grilled floor was really grid.

“This is awesome! It’s like, the best thing that’s ever happened,” Katie said.
“Where do you wanna go first?” the Doctor asked.
“Umm. I dunno,” Katie said apologetically.
“Time or Space?” the Doctor asked.
“Ummm. Time,” Katie said.
“Past, present or future?” the Doctor asked.
“Present? Are we gonna just walk out of the STARDIS again?” Katie laughed.
“Ok ok. Past or future?”
“Past,” Katie said “no! Future! Actually no…”
“Let’s go to the past,” the Doctor said, pressing a lever down, and leaping round the TARDIS console to press several more.
“Great,” Katie said smiling.
“Bye America!” the Doctor grinned.
“Bye!” Katie shouted. “Bye house! Bye mom and dad!”
“I forgot you’d say mom…” the Doctor said.

The TARDIS dematerialised. In the past, several thousands of years ago, an alien baby was hatching. Its mother watched protectively, as it slid out of its egg.

“A new beginning!” the mother said, before the baby opened its eyes.
“Mummy,” the alien baby said.
“Hello sweetie. Now, what to call you? I know… Dredorton. Now my child, go out into the world and infiltrate the highest society, and feast!”

Dredorton looked at his mother, and grew to his fullest height. The mother nodded her head acceptingly and Dredorton struck her down. Leaning forward, he began to feast.

The Doctor and Katie stepped out of the TARDIS.

“Oh my God! This is so amazing!” Katie grinned.
“Let’s go explore,” the Doctor said “allons-y!”

For the first time Katie looked properly around. She saw they were in a dusty place, with dry grass and caves carved into the vast heights of rock. Noticing the Doctor was ahead, Katie ran after him.

“So,” she said, catching up “where are we?”
“It looks like Africa,” the Doctor said unhelpfully.
“But it’s not right?” Katie asked.
“Correctamundo! Oh. I promised myself I’d never say correct-”
“Doctor. It’s fine. So when are we?”
“Time of the prehistoric. Dinosaur parties! All night long!” the Doctor grinned.
“Woo!” Katie grinned.

The Doctor led Katie over to a cave, and peered inside.

“Don’t tell me - Barney’s in there,” Katie said.
“Barney the Dinosaur? Nah, he’ll be in the library,” the Doctor said “I did warn him to count the shadows. It’s not my fault he…”
“Anyway, getting back to the cave, and the monster inside it,” Katie said, pointing at a small alien.
“Hello, what’s your name?” the Doctor asked.
“Drederton,” Dredorton answered.
“And what’s Dredorton doing in Dinosaur times?” Katie asked.
“Trying not to speak in third person by the looks of it,” the Doctor muttered.
“Shut up.”

Dredorton looked up at the strange fleshies. They seemed to be talking in his language. Dredorton had to stop himself from gasping. He realised they were the highest life forms on the planet!

“This planet must be pretty primitive,” Dredorton thought aloud. “Whoops - did I say that out loud?”
“Err yeah,” the Doctor said. “But I don’t mind - I’m not a Human!”
“I am!” Katie grinned.
“That’s obvious,” the Doctor said innocently.
“Thanks. Wait a minute - was that an insult?”

In front of them Dredorton rose to his full height, and whipped out his claws. Everything was new to him, only having been born 5 minutes ago, but hunting was an instinct, just like discovering the highest life form, it was what his race did best.

“Run!” the Doctor shouted, noticing Dredorton.

He yanked Katie out of the cave, and they tumbled onto the dusty earth.

“Oww,” Katie grumbled. “You didn’t have to pull me that hard…”
“Err Dredorton wants to eat us, or something. Don’t you think running is a good idea?” the Doctor asked as Dredorton left the cave and charged towards them.
“Yeah, run!” Katie screamed, as Dredorton leapt above them.

He landed where they had stood seconds before with an almighty crash. The earth underneath him cracked under his weight. The Doctor and Katie hurtled away from his as fast as they could, heading back for the TARDIS. Only when they reached a lake did the Doctor notice something was wrong.

“We went too far!” the Doctor complained.
“We missed the STARDIS!” Katie gasped. “We can’t double back - he’s coming!”
“We can’t cross the lake,” the Doctor said unhelpfully.
“Well, haven’t you got something alien for him? We can kill him with space guns or something?” Katie asked.
“We’re not killing him! His only a baby,” the Doctor said.
“Fine, but he’s coming,” Katie pointed out, folding her arms.
“Wait! I have a teleport!” the Doctor cried. “We need to persuade him to eat it.”
“Oh, just a simple task then,” Katie said sarcastically.

Dredorton stood facing the Doctor and Katie at the lake side. The Doctor walked slowly forwards. He held up his hands.

“You’ve got one last chance,” the Doctor said, “before I stop you.”
“We, you mean,” Katie muttered.
“I’m afraid it’s too late,” Dredorton laughed. “Nothing can stop me!”
“Very well, then you’ve brought this on yourself,” the Doctor said, throwing the teleport at him.

Dredorton sidestepped the teleport device, and stamped on it.

“Ah,” the Doctor said.
“See? I have you defeated!” Dredorton laughed, feeling more like an adult every second. “You said ah! I win!”
“No, sorry!” the Doctor said, sounding genuinely sorry. “I meant, ah, problem solved.”
“What? You’re bluffing,” Dredorton said.
“Not unless a T-Rex is a bluff,” Katie said triumphantly.
“Ah.” Dredorton said, seeing a T-Rex advance on him. “Stop! I order you to stop!”
“I warned you,” the Doctor said darkly.
“Stop!” Dredorton shouted “the circle of beginnings isn’t complete! The Doctor lives!”

The T-Rex leaned forward and began to attack. The Doctor pulled Katie away and together they ran back to the TARDIS. They walked inside, to the sound of terrible, childlike screaming.

“What did he mean?” Katie asked. “About the circle?”
“The Beginning of his overthrowing of the planet?” the Doctor suggested. “The beginning of your full time, travelling?”
“Yeah, maybe,” Katie said. “So, where are we going next?”
“I thought maybe you could have a TARDIS key,” the Doctor said, handing the small Yale key to her.
“Oh my God!” Katie grinned. “Thank you!”
“And then I thought, I fancy some pancakes,” the Doctor grinned. “But English ones.”
“Ooh. Everyone says try something new,” Katie said.
“But how about pancakes in the 20s?” the Doctor said.
“Off we go!” Katie smiled.

The Doctor pressed a few buttons, and they were gone.

End.

Episode X: The Boy That Santa Claus Forgot Part 2

“The Cybermen of course!” Georgia said clapping her hands to her mouth.
“From the Battle of Canary Wharf”, Zac said, “Were you there?”
“No time!” The Doctor said loudly.
“Quick into mum’s house!” Georgia said.
“Hey our house has been smashed by Octopus thingies and green smelly things!” Elizabeth protested but Colin ushered Zac, Kaylie and Georgia towards the front door of his and Elizabeth’s house.

“Are you Georgia’s parents?” Zac asked.
“Yes, we are”, Elizabeth said.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Zac and that's Kaylie”, Zac replied rushing into the house. Kaylie smiled and nodded as she got inside the house too. Elizabeth raised her eyebrows as she walked into her house. Once everyone was inside Colin bolted the door.

“That door can’t hold it!” The Doctor said.
“Well how can we stop it”, Kaylie asked.
“The last Cybermen I met couldn’t be defeated by gold, but these look less technologically advanced”, the Doctor said, “Probably created by a copycat, who saw the ybermen when they invaded 4 years ago”.
“I didn’t even have time to remember what they were, was it really that long ago?” Zac asked.
“Yes!” the Doctor said loudly.

“Do we have any gold in the house?” Georgia asked.
“We’re not rich dear”, Colin replied.
“What?” Elizabeth said to Colin, annoyed, “We are part of society, of course we have gold! Jewellery!”
“Mum where’s your jewellery box?” Georgia asked.
“In my room, second draw down on my Vanity cabinet”, Elizabeth said. Georgia rushed upstairs followed by Kaylie. There was then a bang at the door.

“It’s trying to get in!” Zac shouted. The Doctor rushed to the door followed by Colin and Zac, and they tried to hold it still. Elizabeth rushed around idiotically. Georgia rushed downstairs with several pairs of ear rings in her hands.
“Will these do?” Georgia asked. The Doctor got out his sonic screwdriver and scanned the ear rings.
“They aren’t pure gold, but they’ll have to do”, the Doctor said, “They should be a small air vent on the Cyberman’s back, if you can lure it into the kitchen I could creep up behind it and push the gold into the vent. The cyberman may be allergic to the gold”.
“What if it isn’t?” Colin asked.
“Well, we’ll have to run”, the Doctor said, “Now get away from the door”. Colin and Zac backed away from the door as it was smashed off its hinges by a cyberman. The cyberman advanced into the house and Colin, Zac, Kaylie, Georgia and Elizabeth rushed through the living room into the kitchen. The Doctor, who was hiding behind a sofa, saw the cyberman rush through the living room. The Doctor jumped up and saw the small air vent on the Cyberman’s back. He ran up behind the cyberman, who was advancing on a squealing Elizabeth, and put a couple of Elizabeth’s gold ear-rings into the vent. The Cyberman turned around, and the Doctor backed away.

“Doctor, it isn’t working!” Kaylie shouted.
“I figured that, thanks!” the Doctor replied, but then ,as the cyberman began to follow the Doctor out of the kitchen, it stopped. There was a fizzing noise and smoke billowed from the cyberman’s air vent. The Cyberman fell to the ground with a loud clunking noise and did not move again.
“Oh, it did work”, Kaylie commented.
“Oh hooray!” Elizabeth said, “We only need to buy a new door this time, that makes a change!”

“Doctor, the Cybermen, you said they were created”, Georgia asked.
“That’s right, they were the last time I met them, they were created in a parallel universe”, the Doctor replied, “A genius created them, but these are less advanced. They do look quite similar before, probably copied”.
“We had Cybermen in our house an’ all!” Colin mentioned.
“Why was the Cyberman chasing you Zac?” the Doctor asked.
“We’d seen all this bank robbery stuff and we saw that the Marr metal company was expanding”, Zac explained, “So we thought maybe the two were connected. Then we went to the factory".

“Doctor, the Marr metal company is owned by the magnet warriors”, Georgia pointed out.
“Not anymore, it’s been taken over by another company, but the name stays the same”, Zac replied.
“Oh, good, I’ve seen enough magnet warriors in my life”, Georgia muttered.

“We’re going to have to investigate this company”, the Doctor said, “Is everyone coming?”
“What me and Elizabeth?” Colin asked.
“Errr… no it’s OK”, the Doctor answered slowly, “You can stay and keep guard of your house”.
“Keep guard?” Elizabeth asked, “There aren’t going to be more of those things are there?”
“No, hopefully not”, the Doctor replied, “Just stay here”. Elizabeth nodded and went over to the look in the phonebook, for a door company. Colin followed her, while Zac, Kaylie and Georgia left the house with the Doctor.

“Which way is the Marr metal factory again?” the Doctor asked, “Its been a year since I was last there”.
“That way”, Zac said pointing down the street.
“Well then, lets find out who’s in charge of these cybermen”, the Doctor said walking off, followed by Georgia, Zac and Kaylie. 10 minutes later the group came into site of a huge pair of gates. The factory looked a lot more modern and flashy than it had the year before. The Doctor walked closer to the gates and they began to swing open automatically.

“That’s flashy”, Georgia commented. The Doctor raised his eyebrows and walked through the gates into the reception area of the factory. Standing in reception was a woman with her hair up in a bun.
“Hello, I’m Teresa, can I help you?” Teresa asked, then she noticed Zac and Kaylie, “Oh it’s you 2 trespassers”.
“Oh, so you’re the one who sent the Cyberman after us”, Zac replied, if Teresa was shocked or scared by this remark, she did not show it, her face remained the same.
“What are you talking about?” Teresa asked.
“A big metal man, it tried to kill us!” Kaylie said clearly.
“I presume you aren’t talking about our security guards over there”, Teresa presumed, pointing to a group of four security guards who were chatting.
“No, I am not!” Kaylie replied loudly.

“Well, if you’re sure, you can check our CCTV footage”, Teresa said, “I mean if you’re so sure a metal man chased after you from here then it will appear on the footage right?”
“Yeah it will”, Kaylie replied crossing her arms.
“Well we’d like to have a look at the footage then”, the Doctor said speaking for the first time.

“You’re a rather odd group”, Teresa commented, “I presume you’re these 3’s father”.
“Father, no way!” Georgia said.
“Yes we are”, Zac replied ignoring Georgia’s comment.
“So you two must be twins”, Teresa said, meaning Zac and Kaylie, who both looked shocked by this remark.
“It isn’t your business what we are to each other”, Georgia said annoyed. Teresa nodded and lead the group into a small room, full of screens. Each screen showed different parts of the factory. Teresa walked over to a corner of the room and picked up 3 DVD cases. She took the DVD out of the case. On the DVD it said 12pm-10am 24 Dec. The screen was soon showing the footage from earlier that day. Zac and Kaylie could be seen striding into the reception, where they met Teresa. After they talked to Teresa, they climbed up a flight of stairs to the first floor. On the first floors they could be seen peering through the windows in doors. A few minutes later a security guard appeared.

“What?!” Zac shouted, “We never saw that security guard!” The guard then shouted something and Zac and Kaylie raised their eyebrows and began to run down the corridor. They ran down the flight of stairs, followed by the guard.
“That did not happen!” Kaylie muttered, “A Cyberman was chasing us”. On the screen Zac and Kaylie then ran past another security guard who turned around. They ran out of the factory chased by the security guard.

“The evidence is conclusive”, Teresa commented, “You were in the factory, snooping about or trespassing, but when a security guard appeared, you ran from the scene”.
“But I saw the Cyberman too”, the Doctor replied, “It followed those two to us, where we managed to stop it”. Georgia was surprised by the CCTV footage too, but she realised that it could have been tampered with.
“How do we know, that you didn’t tamper with that CCTV footage?” Georgia asked.
“You don’t, but I’m afraid you won’t find anyone with great computer skills here”, Teresa replied.
“Oh, but you’re in a factory”, the Doctor replied.
“The machines do all the work”, Teresa said.
“But who controls the machines?” the Doctor asked.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t feel like answering any more of your questions!” Teresa replied, “I want you to leave right now, before I call the police!”
“There’s no need for that”, the Doctor replied, “I’m Doctor Smith, factory inspector”.

“Oh, do you have an ID?” Teresa asked. The Doctor got out his psychic paper and showed it to Teresa.
“See, it’s there in writing”, the Doctor said.
“That paper’s blank”, Teresa replied, “Now don’t be silly”.
“Have you had basic psychic training?” the Doctor asked.
“No”, Teresa replied again, “Look I think I’d better take you up to see the manager”.
“Goody”, the Doctor said, Teresa raised her eyebrows higher. She began to lead the group up the flight of steps, which Zac and Kaylie had advanced that morning. However, Teresa did not stop at the first floor, or the second, but on the fourth floor, she led them from the stairs into a dark corridor. The Doctor could only just see Teresa in front of him. There was a right turn in the corridor, but Teresa walked straight past it. Kaylie thought she saw something move down that corridor in the darkness, but did not say anything to the others. Teresa led the group to the end of the corridor where they could see light streaming from underneath a door.

“Why is it kept dark?” the Doctor asked.
“Is it to stop us from seeing something important?” Georgia asked.
“It is only dark because we are trying to save money, and the manager likes it dark”, Teresa replied.
“So that’s why there’s light streaming from his office”, Georgia muttered. Teresa opened the door to show a very large, wealthy looking office. It had book cases lining the walls and plants and pictures. There was even a small fountain.

“Whoa!” Kaylie said, “If you wanna save money sell some of those artworks”. Zac nodded. There was a man sitting at the desk. He looked like he was in his mid-50s.
“This is Mr. Core, our manager”, Teresa said.
“Hello, I’m Mr. Smith, these are my two children”, the Doctor said. Zac and Kaylie looked annoyed at the moment he said ‘children’.
“Interesting”, Mr. Core replied in a low boring voice.
“Are you the same Mr. Core, who burgled those banks?” Georgia asked.
“No I am not!” Mr. Core replied, “I’ve all ready had the police round, but I have proof that I was inspecting my machines in the factory, at the exact times of the burglaries”.
“Oh, more CCTV footage tampering”, Zac said not looking at Mr. Core.
“What is he talking about Teresa?” Mr. Core asked.
“They apparently got chased by a metal man from this place”, Teresa replied.
“Oh really”, Mr. Core replied, meanwhile, the Doctor walked up to the desk and began to examine the items on it.

“What are you doing?” Mr. Core asked the Doctor who had began to open the draws to his desk.
“Just checking for a disc”, the Doctor replied, “Aha!” The Doctor had a DVD case in his hand.
“Give that back here!” Mr. Core demanded.
“I just want to watch it, I mean if it contains no evidence on it, then it won’t matter that I’ve watched it”, the Doctor answered.
“But, but”, Mr. Core stuttered.

“Here we go”, the Doctor said putting the disc into Mr. Core’s computer. The Doctor clicked on a media player and the footage began to play. The Doctor skimmed through it all until he reached Zac and Kaylie entering the factory. Instead of the security guard chasing them, it was a Cyberman.
“That proves it!” Kaylie said victoriously, “Lets phone the police!”
“Oh I don’t think you’ll be doing that!” Teresa said as two cybermen marched into the room, “Kill them!” The Cybermen began to advance.

Episode X: The Boy Who Santa Claus Forgot Part 1

“Well”, the Doctor said breaking the silence, “We’d better drop Catherine and Beth off and Zac and Kaylie”.
“Yes”, Zac said swallowing, “Our families are in Portsmouth, hopefully”.
“I can’t believe he’s…he’s…” Kaylie said, talking about Harry and Conner. Kaylie began to cry again and Georgia hugged her crying too. Catherine and Beth remained passed out slumped on the TARDIS chair. Zac breathed deeply. The Doctor moved around the TARDIS console slowly pressing a couple of buttons and pulling a lever, until the TARDIS dematerialised from the inside of the wrecked Spidership and landed in Portsmouth docks. Zac opened the door of the TARDIS and saw his parents and Kaylie’s mum gawping at the TARDIS. Zac hugged his mum. The Doctor dragged Catherine and Beth out, with the help of a tearful Georgia.

“What’s wrong Zac?” Jane, Zac's mum, said, “What’s happened?” Kaylie let go of Georgia and walked out of the TARDIS wiping the tears from her eyes and not looking back. She saw her mum and hugged her too.
“Kaylie, it’s OK”, Karen, Kaylie’s mum was saying, “Your sisters are safe, several passenger ferry’s turned up to pick up the people in the lifeboats”.
“It’s Harry, he’s..he’s”, Kaylie said.
“Where’s Conner, Zac?” Steve Zac’s dad asked.
“He’s… gone”, Zac replied breathing. Jane and Steve’s faces fell.

“We’ll be off Zac, we need to make sure Georgia’s parents are OK”, the Doctor said to Zac.
“Bye Kaylie”, Georgia managed to say through her tears, “Bye Zac”. The Doctor turned with a frown on his face and Georgia followed him closing the TARDIS doors. Zac and Kaylie turned as they saw the TARDIS dematerialise. They turned and walked away with their families. Catherine and Beth rubbed their eyes and looked about.

“What happened?” Beth asked, “Ow my head is sore”.
“Do we have a hangover?” Catherine asked.
“I don’t think so”, Beth said, “Arggh the spiders I remember them!”
“Were we on the Spidership?” Catherine asked.
“Yes!” Beth replied loudly. Beth realised she was lying on the ground and stood up, looking around to check if anyone knew she had been on the ground.
“Perhaps the spiders wiped our minds?” Catherine said, as Beth began to walk away and Catherine got up and began to follow her, “Or maybe it was the Doctor bloke. Are you sure that isn’t the Spidership? I do remember those soldiers, perhaps they’ve killed us and we’re in some heavenly world. Beth wait for me!”

Back inside the TARDIS, the Doctor pulled a lever and Georgia sat on the now vacated seat. Suddenly, the TARDIS lurched.
“Not more trouble!” Georgia shouted.
“It’s the TARDIS it’s picked up a distress signal”, the Doctor said, “We should follow it”.
“But I need to see my parents!” Georgia replied, “What if they are dead?”
“The TARDIS won’t listen to my commands, it’s controlling itself”, the Doctor said, “We’re being pulled through time!” The TARDIS lurched violently and Georgia fell over. The Doctor stumbled and landed on the TARDIS floor, as it flew itself through time. Suddenly, it stopped.

“Where are we?” Georgia asked.
“South London”, the Doctor said. The Doctor walked out of the TARDIS followed closely by Georgia. They walked onto a light street. It was early in the morning.

“This is Porter Street, it’s a couple of block’s from my parents house”, Georgia told the Doctor, “But what time of year I wonder, we travelled through time, a year might have gone by”.
“Let’s find out”, the Doctor replied walking up to a milkman who had just parked nearby and put two bottles of milk outside someone’s door. “Excuse me Mr. Milkman, what day is this?”

“I’m Mr. Slater actually”, Mr. Slater replied.

“Rob! I didn’t recognise you!” Georgia said barging the Doctor out of the way, “It’s been nearly a year!”
“More than a year Georgie”, Rob Slater replied, “I left school in year 12 in July 2009, you were in year 11 and left earlier after doing your GCSE’s”.
“Well what time of year is it now?” Georgia asked.
“It’s Christmas Eve!” Rob Slater said, “And this Christmas is gonna be wicked!”

CREDITS

“Christmas Eve, Doctor!”Georgia said to the Doctor as they got back to the TARDIS.
“Sorry, it wasn’t my fault”, the Doctor replied.
“It’s weird seeing Rob after all this”, Georgia said, “I mean last time me and him saw each other was before I met you, and that was last Christmas. So much has happened since then”.
“Yes, a lot has happened”, the Doctor replied, “Anyway I wonder where this distress signal came from”.
“Can’t you look for it on the TARDIS screen?” Georgia asked.
“No, the signals gone”, the Doctor answered.
“What if the thing that was in distress has died?” Georgie suggested.
“I fear that’s what’s happened”, the Doctor told Georgia. Suddenly, there was a knock on the TARDIS door.
“It could be a monster”, Georgia said. Georgia looked at the Doctor nervously, who looked at the door with wide eyes. The Doctor walked slowly towards the TARDIS door, before opening it a touch and peering outside. The Doctor was startled to see that a policeman stood outside the door.

“Who is it?” Georgia asked.
“Just a policeman”, the Doctor replied as he slipped through the gap in the door to face the policeman.
“Have you got a license for this ‘ere police box?” the policeman asked.
“Yes, of course I do”, the Doctor answered smiling.
“Then can I see your papers for this ‘ere police box?” the Policeman asked. The Doctor nodded and got his psychic paper out of his pocket. Georgia was glad that the Doctor had this with him all the time, whether it was to get them on board the Spidership, or to pretend he was a lord.

“There you go Mr. Policeman”, the Doctor said showing the policeman his psychic paper, “I am Mr. John Smith, a police box collector and there is my license to have this police box ‘ere”. The Doctor smiled widely but the policeman stared at the paper blankly and raised his eyebrows.
“There’s nothing on that paper!” the policeman replied, “It must be psychic paper”.
“What? How do you know that?” Georgia asked stepping out of the TARDIS.
“’Cause there ‘ave been several bank robberies around ‘ere”, the policeman explained, “The person who stole all the loot had a pass to get into the room, but when you look on CCTV there is nothing on the paper and yet, everyone who saw the paper in real life saw Mr. Core, bank inspector”.

“Doctor, have you been burgling banks?” Georgia questioned.
“No, I have not honestly”, the Doctor told the man.
“All right I believe you unless you’re a very good actor”, the policeman told the Doctor, and “I’m PC Walsh by the way. Oh and if that is psychic paper then you need to get a license for that thing, so you’d better get it shifted right away!”
“Right away, PC”, the Doctor replied as the Policeman walked away down the street.

“Someone has been burgling banks”, Georgia muttered, “Using psychic paper”.
“The thing is, psychic paper is pretty hard to come by, so it’s very likely it’s an alien robbing these banks”, the Doctor explained, “But first, your parents Georgia”. Georgia smiled and entered the TARDIS.

In South London Elizabeth and Colin Bell had been reading the paper. The article inside had listed the dead aboard the Spidership. They saw Conner’s name on there and Harry’s. They had never met Harry, but had read about him, Zac and Kaylie in Georgia’s diary. Elizabeth looked up, suddenly hearing a noise.
“Can you hear that?” Elizabeth asked.
“What, the Christmas music?” Colin asked.
“No, I think it’s the TARDIS!” Elizabeth exclaimed, “She’s come home!”
“What if it’s the Doctor, alone?” Colin asked.
“Don’t think horrid thoughts”, Elizabeth replied running into the hall and grabbing her coat, “If Georgia wasn’t with him, why would he return?”
“To say sorry”, Colin replied, but Elizabeth ignored him and grabbed her coat. She rushed out into the street to find Georgia running towards her. Elizabeth stopped and held her arms out. Georgia ran to Elizabeth and hugged her.

“We thought you were dead”, Elizabeth muttered In Georgia’s ear.
“I’m so sorry, but the Doctor had TARDIS troubles”, Georgia replied smiling.
“You are presumed dead, and Conner”, Elizabeth told Georgia, “And your friend Harry. I suppose they’re with you”.
“They died mum”, Georgia said, her eyes filling with tears, “They both really did die”. Elizabeth looks saddened by this but was glad that Georgia was fine. The Doctor appeared behind Georgia smiling. Colin also walked into the street, from his house, and Georgia hugged him too. Suddenly, footsteps and shouts were heard. Zac and Kaylie rushed round the corner of Elizabeth’s street.

“There you are!” Kaylie said loudly, “You vanish for two months and another load of monsters arrive in London!” The Doctor’s smile faded.
“Zac, Kaylie nice to see you too”, the Doctor replied as Zac and Kaylie came to a halt.

“We just saw you a couple of minutes ago”, Georgia said forgetting that it was now Christmas.
“What?” Zac asked, “Oh, the TARDIS brought you forward in time”.
“That’s right, it was accidental”, the Doctor answered, “What did you say about aliens?”
“There are even more of them!” Kaylie said, “We thought we’d just check out this place but then…” Suddenly stomping down the street, obviously following Zac and Kaylie, was a silvery, armoured man.
“We don’t have time Kaylie!” Zac said quickly, “I thought I recognised it, but I wasn't sure. What is it?"
“It can’t be, they died”, the Doctor said.
“Doctor, what?” Georgia asked.

“It’s a Cyberman!”
